LUST! Seriously, what an awesome character... insanely fun to draw, too, since she exudes so much glamour, despite being dangerous as all hell. :D

O___O I can't believe this got completed with what I had to work with!! I did this on a Dell Inspiron 3500 (yes, an 8-year-old laptop) running on Windows 2000. It's amazing that Adobe Photoshop even functioned on it.. sure, the program errored and closed on its own 12359015811905 times, but it WORKED. That little trouper of a laptop was all I had when my regular laptop broke, and it somehow pulled through. Wow, I have all the respect in the world for PCs right now. *is a Mac-lover*

Anyways, I'm very pleased with the coloring style and color choice on this piece, which is EXTREMELY rare... my last 2 or 3 attempts at digital coloring have ended in disappointment, but I think I finally have a style that I want to pursue. *excited* Believe it or not, not a single texture brush was used on Lust -- I only used a standard hard round brush and worked over my strokes to get a "painter-ly" effect. Lately I've been missing my pastels & oil paints, but it's difficult to use toxic media at college (what with the clean-up time and health risks), so this is the closest I can get right now to feeling like a "painter" again. ^^; The result is quite a change from my usual eye-gougingly bright color choices! @____@ I used a VERY dark base color, which I *never* do, and built up the highlights slowly to get the effect I wanted. Overall, I'm happy with how luminous everything looks (particularly the leather XD).

And also, I'm gonna try to turn this into an artistic SERIES! XD I'm planning on drawing Izumi, Winry, Riza, and Dante in the same style, choosing "3 words" that suit them best. I'm also planning some pictures of the FMA bishies (Roy, Ed, human!Al, etc) to make into a "counter" artistic series. ^^ I'm so silly.

15 min Pencil sketch / 20 min clean-up / 4 hours coloring / Adobe Photoshop CS2
